Autotrac

AutoTrac is the guidance technology utilized by John Deere. AutoTrac is an automatic steering tool that can be used with your GreenStar equipment to more efficiently work your fields. AutoTrac comes with varying degrees of precision depending on which StarFire Signal you are receiving. Avoid gaps and overlap, operator ease, ability to put on older Deere and competitive models.

AutoTrac Universal

AutoTrac Universal allows John Deere to retrofit the same guidance found on modern tractors onto older or non-John Deere models. With this retrofit kit, an operator can have the benefit of AutoTrac steering without having to update his machine to a newer model. The ATU kit can be a lower cost option for producers who may not otherwise be able to take advantage of AutoTrac's benefits.

SF1 Correction Signal

This guidance method utilizes a free satellite signal correction from John Deere. It allows AutoTrac to guide the machine through the field with 23in. pass-to-pass accuracy. This correction is good enough for many jobs, but others may require more precision.
This guidance method, like SF1 allows for automatic steering through the field, but SF2 correction has a much more precise pass-to-pass level of accuracy. Offering a 2-inch pass-to-pass accuracy, SF2 is ideal for most jobs and operations, but has the drawback of being susceptible to satellite drift, not allowing guidance lines to be repeatable from year to year.

RTK Correction Signal

The most precise guidance signal correction available, RTK offers a sub-inch pass-to-pass accuracy, and also has the advantage of being repeatable. This is accomplished by using the same correction of SF2, but further corrected by a series of base stations placed around the area. With this extra level of correction, RTK guidance lines and maps can be used from year to year and are not affected by satellite drift. Great for precise nutrient or seed applications

RowSense

RowSense is a tool used with AutoTrac for improved guidance in harvesting operations. It works by using sensors on the header to determine where the rows are and help correct the guidance through the field. It provides the operator with an increased level of precision that is critical to reducing time and input costs.

ITEC

iTEC allows the operator to worry even less about navigating a field. With iTEC, a machine can execute a turn at the end of a row and line itself up for the next pass. This eliminates sometime and fuel costs, by performing the most efficient turns possible. Or an inexperienced operator

SectionControl

Further reduce input costs with SectionControl. Working with AutoTrac and the GreenStar System, SectionControl works with sprayers, nutrient applicators, planters and air carts to turn individual sections on and off to prevent overlap.

Rate Controllers

Offering both dry and liquid rate controllers, John Deere's GreenStar Rate Controllers are designed to deliver the right amount of chemical for the job. This is a big cost and time saving feature because it allows the operator to differ field rates based on prescription and spend less time manually adjusting rates in the cab. This correction can also account for the ground speed factor.

Machine Sync

Machine Sync is another optimization tool for AutoTrac. Utilized during harvest, it allows for communication between the combine and grain cart for automatic guidance. This allows easier and more efficient unloading on the go, saving both time and money. Machine sync has evolved to include coverage map sharing, need to expand on that.

JDLink Testimonials

Read Our Testimonials:

“After a wet period during spraying season, I received a red JD Link Alert text from a customer’s 4630 sprayer saying it is overheating. I immediately called the customer and asked if he was having problems. He said, “No, just got the sprayer out of the shed and loading it with water” (he had the switch to load so it was at high idle). I told the customer it shows to be overheating. He said, “No, it’s running fine..” I asked him to go back in the cab and look for me. The customer then went up in the cab and I hear the “Oh #?*!.” It was overheating. A bird had built a nest on the fan drive preventing the cooling fan in the radiator from turning. Yes, I saved the day.”

"This spring we were in the throes of wheat harvest and planting beans.  I was with one customer working on the Greenstar in his combine, when I received a phone call from another customer that was having issues with his section control on his new 8R tractor.  I was a good 70 miles away from him, and he was sitting in the field getting very frustrated.  I pulled out my computer and phone and started an RDA session with him.  We were able to work through the issue, and get him going while I was also updating the display and receiver on the other customer’s combine.  He was very happy that I was able to walk him thru the issue in a fast and efficient way, and that he would not have to wait.  Even the combine customer commented that he was impressed on the efficiency and ability to fix the issue without leaving.  “RDA is a great tool where I can be in two places at once, and have the ability to deliver the level of customer service that our producers have really come to appreciate.”

"We received a call on the Precision Ag support line from a customer on a coverage map sharing issue. While talking over the symptoms with the customer we pulled up a RDA session with both of his planting tractors at the same time. One on our I-pad and one on the laptop computer. We dialed in the second operator on a phone call also and had them changing screens for us so we could see what the system was doing. We found two problems within seconds that the operators kept missing, one being they had a farm name spelled with a E instead of an I and the other machine needed a MTG reset because of a signal issue. Both operators completed the steps like we asked them to and they were up and running within 10 minutes of the first phone call. Later that day we received a call form one of the farm owners tell us how amazed he was with what we could do with JD Link and RDA and he was for sure keeping that option on all of his machines forever."

"Early in the morning I received an expert alert for a customer’s 9560RT in regards to an issue that can affect the steering of the machine. We immediately called the customer to make them aware of the issue. When the customer was contacted he said his father was currently running the machine in a field and wasn’t having any issues with it. The customer said not to send a technician out because everything seemed to be working fine. The customer was then told that they may not experience any steering issues until they were out on the road and were getting up to higher speeds. Sure enough, after the tractor was finished in the field and made its way on to the road the customer started experiencing the issue and immediately called us back. This customer has about 6,000 acres and runs the farm with his three sons. They are the definition of do it yourselfers when it comes to machine repair. However, in this instance because we had proactively called them knowing the problem and solution they wanted a technician to be sent out to complete the repair. The technician was then sent out and the customer was up and running within a few hours. 'Without getting this expert alert we would have never gotten this repair work.'"

Farm Information Management

Apex

Apex is a Farm Management Software program designed to interpreted data from the GreenStar technology on a machine. It can be used to create fields and prescriptions as well as generating reports and maps that can be used to aid decision making within the operation. An entire year's worth of operations can be easily backed up or uploaded to the MyJohnDeere Operations center for anywhere access..

MyJohnDeere

MyJohnDeere can be used as a complement to Apex. It allows you to view any of your field records that have been backed up to or uploaded to the Operations center. You can also view machine and field locations on a Google maps interface for a more convenient user experience. You may also assign tasks to operators and equipment to manage the logistics of daily operations, as well as monitoring the progress on those jobs, all without leaving the website.

Mobile Farm Manager

Mobile Farm manager allows you the freedom to scout your fields using your phone or tablet. Using GPS you can record fields, scout out obstacles, make notes at certain locations, provide soil or nutrient content notes, and sync data with Apex for on the go viewing of records.

Mobile Data Transfer

Mobile data transfer allows you a similar functionality to Wireless data transfer, but on a wider range of displays. Using your phone or mobile device, you are able to utilize your cellular connection or WIFI to transfer data to the MyJohnDeere operations center. This works with John Deere displays and even some competitive displays (e.g. AgLeader and Tremble). This gives you more freedom to utilize the operations center even in mixed fleet operations.

Field Connect

This water management tool gives a producer a real time look at soil moisture, temperature, rainfall, plant leaf wetness, and other Environment indicators. Field Connect can be used in tandem with irrigation or drainage to provide a comprehensive water management solution. This allows the producer to more effectively utilize water resources and avoid stressing the plant through under or overwatering.

Water Management

Water has always been a point of concern for producers whether it's too much or not enough. In the past, tile has traditionally used to assist in the drainage of a field. Recently, tile has been used not only for drainage, but also for collection and redistribution of water in a field. Depending on the complexity of a setup, a tile drainage system could be used to capture and return nutrients to the soil through the use of laterals under the topsoil. At Heritage Tractor, we work with a designer to survey the field and create a drainage plan. We then implement this design with the help of partnered contractors. A customer's plow and equipment can also be used with our designs for a more DIY approach.
