Tow chains help control drawn equipment if it accidentally separates from the drawbar during transport. The tractor must be equipped with an intermediate chain support ahead of the hitch pin.

CV driveline

Benefits of the CV driveline include:

• Lock-slide collar, included on all John Deere drivelines, helps during the attachment to the tractor allowing the operator to keep their hands on the driveline and not on the collar.
• Professional seals on the cross kits allow for a lubrication interval of up to 50 hours.
• Grease zerks in the cap cross kits provide easy access for field lubrication.
• Large, dimpled floating disks reduce wear and improve the grease retention.
• Precision spherical ball-and-socket bearings distribute loading evenly and provide a long life and high performance.

CX15 and CX20 may be equipped with eight wheels to provide improved flotation for the wings on soft ground. The dual wing wheels also provide for a better likelihood of avoiding scalping on the wings when single wing wheels fall into a hole or rut.

Second-row chain shields

These second-row chain shields take the place of double-row chain shields by making it possible to add on the second row instead of replacing the single row with a double row. All newly ordered and existing flex-wing rotary cutters built after 01 June 2005 can now be converted to double-row shields.

Implement jack kit

Includes TY25778 - 38.1 cm (15-in.), 2268-kg (5000-lb) side-wind crank implement jack and mounting parts. Allows attaching/detaching cutter from tractor.

Independent control valve - three-function

Allows operating lift and wing cylinders with one tractor SCV.

• Wings raise or lower independently of each other
• Compatible with open-center or closed-center hydraulic system
• The valve provides three positions: raise, neutral, and float; the float position for the two outside wing lift spools is detented; the cutter uses single-acting cylinders, this is also the lower position
• Includes tractor mounting bracket and all necessary hydraulic hoses (does not include quick-couplers)

The weight box replaces the left wing deck on the HX20 and CX20 Rotary Cutter for roadside mowing.

When installed, the cutting area is 13.5 ft.  It is shipped from the factory filled with concrete.
