Hydraulics
3E Series Tractors can be equipped with a field-installed rear hydraulic remote kit, providing two additional hydraulic spools on the back of the tractor. This kit can be field installed on a tractor with a loader or without a loader.
The functions are completely separate from the loader. These rear remotes can be hooked up to a wide variety of implements and attachments such as the following:
- Hydraulically angled blade
- Hydraulically controlled chute/spout on a 3-point hitch-mounted snow blower
- Hydraulic scarifiers on a box blade
- Many other hydraulic rear attachments
This versatile kit gives 3E Series Tractor operators the options they desire for putting their tractors into a wide range of tasks. The first spool is equipped with a float position, giving the operator the ability to contour the landscape and improve the final grade with certain implements.
Please note that neither of the spools in this kit are equipped with a detent position; therefore, they should not be hooked up to anything with a motor, as the valve was not designed to be run open. It is designed for momentary, on-demand hydraulic flow such as moving a cylinder.
The approximate installation time is 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
The power beyond kit allows access to pressurized hydraulic oil at the rear of the tractor for operating attachments equipped with an open center control valve, such as a backhoe and log splitter.
Lighting Equipment
This kit provides light to the rear of the tractor for evening work.
For open-station tractors only, this kit contains individual light.
Allow 30 minutes to install.
NOTE: Kit includes one rear light.
NOTE: Both the rear- and forward-work lights are compatible together and with the light-brush guard kits. The light kit contains a two-to-four pigtail that plugs into the main harness, as if only plugging one set of lights, providing two sets of plugs to use for forward and rear-work lights. The forward light is installed on top of the brush guard, and the rear light is installed inside the ROPS using the bolt holding the light and brush guard on.
NOTE: For 102E3 and 1026R Tractors – kit interference during backhoe operations (mounted inside ROPS) – use LVB25546 forward-light kit as an alternative.
The forward-lighting kit provides extra visibility when working in dark conditions. Lights attach to the brush guards located on the rollover protective structure (ROPS). Each kit contains two lights.
NOTE: Requires BLV10400 warning light brush guard kit and LVB26026 light kit harness. Not compatible with LVB25547 rear work light kit (1023E).
NOTE: Requires BLV10400 warning light brush guard kit. Not compatible with LVB25547 rear work light kit (1025R, 2025R, 2032R, 2038R, 3025E, 3032E, 3038E, 4105, 4044M, 4052M, 4066M).
NOTE: Requires BLV10620 premium warning light brush guard kit. Not compatible with LVB25547 rear work light kit (3033R, 3039R, 3046R, 4044R, 4052R, 4066R).
Rollover protective structure (ROPS) mounted LED work lights
An optional LED work light kit is available for all open-station compact utility tractors. These lights provide extra visibility when working in dark conditions and have 180-degree rotation to face forward or backward. The kit contains two lights and the mounting hardware required for installation.
This lighting kit is mounted to the warning light brush guard kit, which is mounted to the ROPS and requires attachment BLV10400 for installation.
The halogen work light kit attachment is still available (LVB25546).
ROPS warning-light brush guards protect turn signal/warning lights from damage caused by low branches on trees.
Two guards are included in each kit and are for open-operator station (OOS) tractors only.

iMatch Quick Hitch Bushings - LVU12858
One of the greatest operator concerns involves difficulty in attaching tractor implements. John Deere has addressed this issue with the iMatch Quick-Hitch.
The iMatch Quick-Hitch provides easy hookup and a guaranteed fit for all Category 1 implements designed to meet the ASAE Category 1 Standard S278.6 for quick-attach hitches.
- All implements require a set of bushings in order for the attachment to fit and work properly with the iMatch Quick-Hitch. One set of bushings comes with the iMatch Quick-Hitch.
NOTE: All implements (box blades, tillers, rear blades, landscape rakes, etc.) require a set of bushings to enlarge the pin to fit with the iMatch hooks. Bushings of different lengths can be found in the parts system or through a bushing supplier (see dimensions below).
- Upper bushing
- Inside diameter of 0.76 in. to 0.77 in. (19 mm to 20 mm)
- Outside diameter of 1.24 in. to 1.25 in. (31 mm to 32 mm)

Fits my needs - Excellent Value
I needed a smaller-but-big, maneuverable tractor that could move through trees and lift a decent amount with loader and a grapple. My use doesn't include anything with ground engaging implements (aside from scraping/scooping with the loader) so I don't need horsepower at the drawbar or PTO, and the 3025 fit's the bill. It's reasonably stable on my slopes and has picked up everything I tried (well, except for "that big rock"). It's efficient, and my only wish is that it had been available with R14 tires providing a little better traction.

Very nice tractor...great investment
So far I am very pleased that I purchased this tractor. It has saved me countless hours of back breaking labor around my property. The machine is very easy to use, it took very little time to get familiar with the controls for the bucket and for the rear blade and rear cutter. The tractor has more than enough power for what i use it for and I thoroughly recommend that this tractor be considered by others . The only thing that I wish that it was equipped with would be a rear view mirror.

Sweet
The 3025E is busy doing the job I bought it for. The frontier mower has plenty of power to grind up small trees and mow seriously over grown fields. The bucket is great for lifting gavel and tipping 50 to 100 pd. boulders out of Vermont fields.

So far, so good
I’ve only got 18 hours on the tractor, but so far love it. Before this I owned a 4010 compact I bought new 22 years ago. Had 1300 hours on it and only minor repairs needed. Obviously the new tractor reflects 2 decades of advances. The larger size and HP are so far a great improvement. Several tasks pushed the 4010 pretty hard, but so far this tractor has tackled all tasks with ease. I think the size is better matched to my use. Using it to maintain our 4 acres. No mower, but have a box scraper, land plane, forks, tiller, snow thrower, and rear blade. Land plane is fantastic for maintaining our 270’ driveway. I also added the I-match that’s been a great move.

After 1 yr of ownership, I cannot recommend 3025e
Pros: HSD is smooth and easy, nice turning radius, easy to operate Cons: Underpowered pulling and lifting, overall breaks too easily, more toy than tractor for serious work, some questionable design choices. Rolled over sticks while clearing brush. 1-1/4" Stick lodged under unprotected forward pedal, shattered cast aluminum pedal. During extraction, same stick went up front axle, through unprotected plastic cooling fan and radiator. Total repair bill: $4000. No skid plates available for future protection. Tractor seems designed for clean fields and weekend warriors, not real work.

Sure beats a shovel
I have 1.2 acres in need of much overdue maintenance. I cleared and leveled a small lot. Plan to cover with rock. Cleared a hedge and blackberries. Approx 5 years of growth. Moved brush, small and medium sized chunks of redwood, and a 30 year old bird of paradise plant into burn piles. And plan many more landscape projects. Took only a few minutes to learn to use the bucket and backhoe. The lot cleared turned to almost 2 feet deep mud, but only slowed the process. The All wheel drive and differential lock kept me moving. To my surprise, I never got stuck. Was able to plow through even with the bucket full. I recommend this tractor. With the hydraulic thumb it still came in around 9K cheaper than the Kubota. I seriously looked at the Mahindra, Kubota and John Deere.

Amazing Tractor for the price
I purchased my 3025E two months ago and have 40 hours on it already and it is perfect for my needs on my small 20 acre hobby farm. I use it to put logs on my sawmill, collecting maple sap, plowing snow, maintaining a dirt bike track, and tilling the garden. I also have a 4 acre field that i plan on finish mowing however its still spring in Michigan so i havent tried that yet. I needed something small enough to get around in the woods with ground clearance but big enough to have a decent lift capacity. So far this machine has exceeded my expectations and sips fuel while getting the job done. Yes a bigger tractor could most likely get the job done faster at times however i just could not justify a double price tag for a bigger machine. For the price point this machine does everything I need it to. On top of that the incentives on a new tractor John Deere did this spring made it pretty affordable.

Cool little tractor but multiple issues.
Great turning radius and very economical. Bought with the loader and backhoe. Very easy to get used to using. However, the 3025 feels very underpowered when using either attachments. Will bog down and even shut off with minimal digging resistance which truly impacts the work that you’re able to get done. I contemplated getting some additional attachments but I doubt it will be able to handle anything else outside of maybe an auger. I highly recommend at least getting the 3032 or the 3038. They really shouldn’t even sell this tractor with this low of horsepower. I wish the salesman had pushed me to get the bigger engine knowing what I was going to use it for. The price is nice but do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for the added power. You won’t regret it. Also, the placement for the key is in the absolute worst location down by your right knee so every time you get off the tractor, you bump and bend the key. I imagine I will eventually break it off and it’s been bent several times that I’ve had to place it on a vice to straighten it back out to be used again. Lastly I have already had 3 bolts drop out of the bottom framing, all on the right side so it left the tractor vulnerable to breaking down. I only noticed it when my wife and I were finding the bolt, nuts, and collar around my farm. I’ve only found one with the bolt and collar and put it back in myself but the other two, who knows where they fell out on the farm. I only have 15 hrs on it so these things are a real bummer for buying a new tractor that’s supposed to be the best in the world. I’m still generally happy with the tractor as it is easy to use and the turning radius is awesome, but I did have thoughts of returning it and getting the bigger engine but it’s fine for now and I’m sure I would’ve have gotten all of the value I spent on it back. Seriously, I am having to keep my old International to do any pulling, plowing, or box blade work.

Tractor runs very good, it has a backhoe and that works good also. The way the hood opens could be improved and instead of side panels maybe a full hood would be nice, that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5

3025E John Deere
I was looking for a compact tractor and shopped around until I came across the 3025E. I was impressed with the power for a midsize tractor and the prize. I have owned it for about 2 months now and I have been using it to work on my 5 acre property. So far it has performed well. Great tractor!

I've had my tractor for less than a month and I really like it except for the fuel gauge in the back and not on the front console even more importantly I can't lift 1000 lbs with a set of forks which I was under the impression that it would be able to lift a minimum of approximately 1200 lbs.

Best 25hp tractor
I bought this spring 2023. Great tractor, does everything I need. The use of an aluminum transmission housing versus cast makes the back end lighter. I had the tires filled with fluid and still have to keep it in 4x4 when reversing. The loader also does not tilt when raising. It will tilt when lowering. Those are the only things I have found I don't like about my 3025e. Other than those two things it's the best compact tractor I've ever used. Would highly recommend over any other brand.

Great tractor !!
Tractor is a real world horse ! It's reliable and easy on fuel. I added 3rd function hydraulics to loader and it was worth every penny. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars in because of the high cost for any Johndeere part, and very few after market parts will fit.

Nice tractor
I’ve had my 3025E for about 2 months, excellent little tractor, adequate power and maneuverability. Over all I’m satisfied with the tractor, only a little disappointed with its lifting capability, they rate it at 1100#s, but I don’t think that spec is accurate, it seems quite a bit less than that. Other than that I’m very satisfied with it, I would have given it 5 stars if the loader ability was up to par. I own and operate a Christmas tree farm, and I see to it that the reindeer on my farm are named John!

Coming from working with a 1023E to the 3025E was a huge step up, and though there is only 2 horsepower difference between the two tractors, the 3025 feels much more powerful, and is way more capable than the 1023. I received the tractor about a month ago, for the most part I’m very well pleased with the tractor. The power and capability’s seem to be up to standards, the only real complaint seems to be with the loader capacity. They advertise it has a lifting capability of 1100# but it seems a little inadequate. The overall operation is more than sufficient for my operation. I would definitely consider purchasing it again, I only wish it had more loader strength. I own a Christmas tree Farm, this tractor is definitely one of the Deere’s that keeps our farm operating! 3025E is a Great Utility Tractor
Bought my 2018 3025E last spring and got so much work done on my 16 partially wooded acres of property. I run a 5-foot brush hog with no trouble so long as I keep the ground speed reasonable. Bulling through 6 ft. grass and up to 1" brush is fairly easy. It will push over trees up to about 8" in diameter. The 300E loader picks up a heaping bucket of clay soil and stones with no difficulty. Even the convenience of being able to lay a couple 4x8 sheets of OSB board across the bucket and carry it out where I want it is great. I don't farm but maintain a couple food plots for deer. This tractor is perfect for that.

Love my little tractor.
I have had my tractor for almost 5 years now and I still love it. I don't have a lot of land but I did want to do some clearing and also needed a loader. I bought the 3025E for the price range. Obviously there are features that come on the more expensive models but you pay for those things and price was an issue for me. I have over 700 hours on it and it does pretty much every thing I ask. Plus there are a lot of things I used to have to do manually that I can do with the tractor(lift stuff into the back of my truck). It has been a great little tractor and I would recommend it to anyone who understands how every tractor has limits. My wife says I have to have my "tractor time" for therapy and it really is true. Love it.

A disappointment!
Purchased and finally took delivery in July 2022 after waiting six weeks for the Mechanical Self-Leveling loader to come in. The 3025E seems to be underpowered and the loader with it's lack of "full curl" like the Non-Self Leveling variant is a disappointment. Was hoping for more. However, with no MSL loaders available on dealers' lots and lack of sales knowledge, it's a shot in the dark and unfortunately isn't shared by Deere anywhere on their website or in their videos. About the only plus on this loader when using pallet forks, it keeps your load level. But using the bucket and attempting to scoop a full load of material, it's not achievable. My dealership has attempted to help but claims there is nothing wrong with the product.

Best Tractor On The Market For Woodland Work
I recently purchased my Deere 3025E from TriGreen in Winchester, TN outfitted with the Brush Crusher 4200, & Frontier box blade, & liquid ballast in the rear tires. This thing is a beast! I've moved several 8ft-12ft oak & pine logs with an average diameter of approx. 22 inches with ease...I mean, the thing doesn't grunt or show signs of stress at all with those logs. Pulled up a stump that I've been trying to dig out with a shovel, & this thing popped it out of the ground like a rag doll. This thing has a slimmer profile, & the turning radius is amazing so I can really work my way through the woods with ease. I can maneuver this thing into tighter places than my Honda Rancher ATV if you can understand what I mean. Yes, the ATV is smaller, but the tractor can be gently maneuvered in and out of spots that look impossible. If you are dealing with logs, wood, brush etc. you will DEFINITELY appreciate the plastic fenders and hood. It's the same type of quality plastic you'll find on any ATV body. There is a reason they use plastic on these machines that are running and working in the woods. I received the tractor, lift bucket, grapple, & box blade for a better price than any other brand of tractor out there, & I test drove them all. It's a John Deere-holds it value better than any other brand in the market, & the parts/dealer network is the best in the US obviously. The decision was easy for me, & I'm glad I added this tractor to our family.

Good Tractor
It is a little light for brush hogging high grass. But you have to understand, get the right tractor for what it's designed for. You don't brush hog 18" of grass with a 24hp tractor. It was not designed for that. You will bog down the engine just like anything else that gets overloaded. If you are doing a lot of brush hogging in high grass, get a 65hp 4 series with a flexwing mower. But overall, it does just about everything that I need. The lift capacity of the front end loader is pretty good but you have to be careful. You can easily overload it. If you need to do heavy lifting, get the right tractor for your needs. But for what I use it for, it's a great little tractor. I have a 60" finish mower that I use on 3.5 acres. The finish mower does an excellent job. As with any mower, make sure the blades are sharp. Don't sell this tractor short. It has a lot of potential and capabilities. But do your homework first and make sure it's right for what you are going to use it for. I see so many posted CON's where an item is being used beyond it's capabilities. If your using this tractor or any tractor for what it was not designed for, don't post CON's. Only post CON's if it does not perform to it's capabilities.

Fantastic value
We have been needing a tractor with a brush mower, kept looking around for several years now. Did some research and as far as value and warranty for the money, this was the tractor to get. Came with the front loader, added a 5ft rotary (brush) mower and the wife and I are extremely happy with this purchase. We've only had the tractor for a few weeks now, but have gotten so much more done on our property in those few weeks that would have taken much much longer without it. Have projects lined up to do ourselves now that we have it. Even got my youngest daughter using it as well.

We have larger tractors for the farm but I needed something smaller to haul around and use in residential yards. The 3025 is perfect size. It’s big enough to do stuff but small enough to tow with a half ton p/up. Take care of it and it will hold its value better than any other brand. Great machine with exceptional capabilities
I purchased my 3025E in May, 2017. I have owned it for 2.5 years now and it has been absolutely reliable. Not a single trip back to the dealership, and no on site service calls. I use my tractor almost on a daily basis. As of today it has 536.1 hours on it. I got the loader, 60 rotory cutter, 60" box scrap, and a used 48 King Kutter BX roto tiller. I have seen complaints about lack of PTO HP, but that hasn't been my experience with my tractor. I also picked up a used Woods RM59 finish mower, no issues running that either. This is my first tractor, and after doing much research and visiting other dealerships before my purchase, I'm very happy that I went with JD.

Low Pto power, bogs down when shredding field
Ive had my 3025 for about 6 months now. My field is about 6 acres. If you are going to use this to shred (I have the 60" frontier cutter that came with the pkg) I would definitely recommend gettting the 3032 or 3037. The 25 hp from the 3025 with about 17 hp to the pto just dont cut it. No pun intended. Seriously, the tractor bogs down bad. You have to go very slow, foot barely on the pedal, or the pto rpm drops way down. Or even stop moving forward for a few seconds to let it speed back up. Grass height was about 18" first cutting but only about 10" second cutting. I was going to get a 3032 or 3037 but a guy at work told me all new tractors over 25 up now had the exhaust requirement of recycling or soot burning (or whatever) cycle and the exhaust systems were always getting plugged. I talked to john deere and they said the cycle goes well with no exhaust system problems as long as you used low sulfur diesel, which is what you get at the gas station. But they also told me the 3025 would handle that field with no problems. Untrue. It takes me 10-12 hours to mow 6 acres when other tractors have mowed it in 2 or 3. Spend the extra 2000-3000 dollars and get the 3032 or 3037 . you'll be glad u did.

Disappointed in the amount of plastic on tractor
The tractor performs very well (the 3025e). The layout of the instrument panel is easy to use. The seat is comfortable. The tractor is quiet running and starts with no problem. The disappointing part is the amount of plastic that is used on this tractor. It is a constant concern. Fearing that it will not hold up as well as metal. Extremely disappointed that be lights are mounted on the outside of the roll bar and are easily broken off. Again made of plastic and extremely expensive to replace. It would have been nice had a cage been made for the lights or for them to be built into the frame. With the amount that the Tractor cost, I expected to see less plastic on it. This is my first John Deere tractor purchase. Sad to say, even though the tractor performs well .I will not again spend so much money for so much plastic.

good tractor - 3025E needs more hp to the PTO
I purchased a 3025E MFWD, with 300E loader on 6/21/2019. The overall quality of the tractor is great, well built & I LIKE the plastic body panels vs sheet metal (safer from small hits, metal & plastic will be equally damaged with big hits) my dealer - Virginia Tractor - ordered with the telescoping links on the hitch and with draw bar installed. Also had the rear-mounted fuel tank with gauge (I was anticipating the fuel tank under the hood). Cutting thick tall grass w/60 in finish mower (new blades), tractor really bogged down, had to cut VERY slow in L gear. The 3025E has a dash display w/PTO RPM & mine cont’d to drop from 540RPM to low 400s and I let off pedal. Attachments brochure from JD suggests the MX5 & RC2072 but I'm a little skeptical of after the performance of the 60 in finish mower. Too much power loss to PTO due to Hydro transmission. I used my JD770 gear drive w/5 ft bush hog on hilly ground w/heavy brush, it worked VERY WELL. I will have to try my 5 ft bush hog behind the 3025E for comparison, but i'm very skeptical that the 3025E will be sub-par. After one use I am having buyer's remorse because of not going a step up for more HP or Gear Drive. I think this tractor will be great for moving snow & other basic tasks on flat ground; probably even good for a pull behind finish mower as long as I don't let the grass get too tall (or smaller 48 in mower)

Great implement
I purchased a 3025E with loader in November of 2018, after buying 5 acres, 5 barns and an old farm house that would eventually be torn down. I also bought an auger, rotary cutter (bush hog), box scraper, pallet forks and receiver hitch. I had to finally buy and IMatch Quick Hitch. It greatly simplified hooking up every accessory. Since purchasing the tractor I’ve taken out 250’ of box hedge/900’ of fence row, cleaned out 3 of the 5 barns, leveled 1300’ of gravel road/driveway, continually mow 3 to 4 acres and I’ve dug several post holes. The tractor and all the implements have functioned flawlessly after 95 hours and 5 months. Sales, Parts and Service at TriGreen Equipment in Decherd, TN have been fantastic, from the initial purchase thru parts purchase, advice, assistance and service. Thank you John Deere for a superb tractor and accessories!!

Great little tractor, should have bought one years ago. It has its limits, but I have put it through the ringer. Almost a daily user, easy to transport. Front bucket has been a life saver. I upgraded from a 1025r and it was well worth the trade in. My reason for trading in had nothing to do with the 1025r not being good, i just moved to a much larger property with different needs that the 1025r no longer met. I have a 25 acre hobby farm that i use the tractor on. I have about 10 acres of open fields that i use a rotary cutter on and it handles a 60" just fine. I also have a large 2 acre garden that it did a great job tilling in the spring and cultivating during the growing season. I also have the PTO spreader that i use to put fertilizer on my garden and winter cover crop seed down and it did great with that too. I have only had to do basic maintenance on the tractor so far but it is VERY easy to work on, and that is coming from someone who is just starting to work on equipment. My only complaint so far is the same as another reviewer: the D160 loader. The bucket will not stay curled back in position. Now my dealer did come out and work on it, and it improved drastically, but it still bounces around, especially with really heavy loads. For me, i just tap the curl back function on the controller whenever i am transporting something for any distance. I wish it didn't do it at all, but if this is the only issue, after they kinda fixed it, its something i can live with.
Pros
- good bang for your buck
- easy to maintain
- plenty of power for a 25hp
- easy to use
Cons
- loader could be better
- sometimes wish i had gotten the 3038e for more pto

Right size for most jobs
I am very happy with the tractor and FEl for the most part, the tractor does everything I want and more, the FEL bucket material is weak and thin, could be built a little heavier I bent the bucket messing round with a small stump about 4 in diameter. And as another reviewer stated the fel does bounce a lot, I have greased the pins but it still seems to have a lot of play in them. other than that I love this tractor just wished I had a few more attachments

Pays its own way
I bought my 3025e last fall. Monthly I get enough small jobs to make the tractor payment. I use a 5ft rotary cutter, 6ft finish mower, 5ft box blade, all with ease. Best investment I have made in a long while.
Pros
- affordable
- compact
- easy to operate

Great small tractor
I have 11 acres and have used this tractor to bush hog, move big rocks, and move large downed trees. My dealer talked me down from a bigger model and I was doubtful but have rarely had to put the hydrostat into low gear and this little, easy to maneuver tractor has not come close to letting me down. If you need more tractor then you probably need a dozer and all I can say is this is an unbelievably simple and perfect tractor.

Coming from a Mahindra the 3025e is an excellent machine. All the operator controls are very ergonomic and everything about the machine has a premium feel. The loader controls are very responsive but not too touchy and cycle times are quick!

- excellent fit and finish
- smooth engine
- differential lock
- 4 wheel drive
- no def
- responsive loader
Cons
- it wasn't free
